The year of new beginnings 4

Happy New year, Happy 2017. Such a blessing to have made it to another year. I am excited about the New year.

From a young age I loved cooking, having helped my mum with her restaurant in my teens. So growing up and becoming a doctor, cooking has always been therapeutic for me. I have a creative side which has been neglected or not nutured mostly because of lack of time.

Every year new years resolutions are made by me. I used to have a long complicated list but of late I have decided on only one or two goals. My goal last year was to reflect on life and where I was in light of my career and my future in terms of work and life balance. I had the opportunity while on maternity leave to do this and wow what a year?. The year gave me a chance to reflect on my dreams and my passion for life.

I have gone through a lot in life to this point and my past experiences have made me a stronger and better person. I would be using this platform to share such experiences as the year goes on.

This year I would use this platform to share life experiences, share recipes and my creative side.

I plan to use this avenue to impact on others while I also learn from others.

I pray that through this platform lifes would be changed and a difference would be made.

I thoroughly enjoyed my brunch this morning inspired by my West African roots. Spices have been an integral part of my cooking and I love how certain spices changes the taste of food.

Follow me on my blog, instagram and facebook.

Watch this space as new beginnings are unfolded.

I wish you a fantastic 2017. Set realistic new year resolutions as this would pave the way for 2017. It is going to be a great year. Bring on 2017.
